Dr. Xue Qing (David) Wang earned his B.S. and Ph.D. in biochemistry from McGill University. His graduate work focused on the functional role of long non-coding RNAs and epigenetic changes during cell differentiation, and development of the “carbon-copy chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing” (or 2C-ChIP) methodology. Along with his research work, he also taught as a graduate assistant at McGill on nucleic acids. In 2018, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Gerd Pfeifer at Van Andel Institute as a postdoctoral fellow.
