Dr. Wenping Wang earned his B.S. in traditional Chinese medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Bologna.
His graduate work focused on metabolic alterations induced by mitochondrial impairments and revealing key metabolic dependencies of cancer cells with dysfunctional mitochondria. In 2019, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Ning Wu at Van Andel Institute as a postdoctoral fellow.
