Biography

Dr. Huadie Liu earned her B.S. in bioengineering from Hunan Agricultural University and her Ph.D. in genetics from Central South University in China. Her graduate work focused on how SUMOylation affects mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) differentiation. In 2015, while working on her thesis research, she joined Van Andel Institute as a guest student. In 2019, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Tao Yang at the Institute as a postdoctoral fellow.

 

Current research focus

Studying the role of epigenetic and sumoylation regulators in skeleton development and skeletal stem cell homeostasis.
